Today I'm with Dr. Anthony Balduzzi, who is a men’s health expert, the owner of the Fit Father Project and holds dual degrees in Nutrition & Neuroscience from the University Of Pennsylvania and a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine.
He’s also a speaker, entrepreneur, and former bodybuilding champion and I’ve known him for a few years now and he’s a genuinely good guy and definitely knows his shit when it comes to the world of fitness.
Dr. A shares his powerful story of how the premature death of his father ultimately let to his mission to help dads live healthier and his passion is clear. This is a man on a mission to help as many fathers as he possibly can.
We talk about the most important habits we, as dads, need to get and stay fit as well as why the basics are far more important than all the fads, supplements, and hacks that are out there.
The Fit Father Project has helped tens of thousands of dads and his position is that the vast majority of health and fitness advice online is simply NOT sustainable for guys over 40 with busy schedules, families, responsibilities, and aging metabolisms.
He says "To win with your health, long-term, you need an eating & exercise approach that’s simple, sustainable, and actually geared for your schedule and body as a busy father over 40."
And I agree 100%.
We talk about the impact that being part of a tribe has and why we need this as dads. I've seen a significant difference in the level of commitment and success that being part of a like-minded group has versus trying to go it alone, which is what many of us try to do unsuccessfully.
If you're a father struggling with any aspect of your health and fitness, take the the time to listen to this episode.
